‘HANDi’ app – a new free app has been launched (May 2018) to provide advice and support to parents, carers and healthcare professionals looking after children with the most common childhood illnesses.  The HANDi app has been developed by paediatric consultants and will give you access to home care plans, as well as GP and hospital clinical guidelines, to help you provide the best support for your child and give you confidence in caring for them when they are unwell.  The app describes care plans and guidance for the most common health concerns, including: abdominal pain, chestiness, diarrhoea and vomiting, high temperature and problems during the newborn period.

Authorisation of Leave of Absence  

As you will be aware from September 2013, the legislation concerning the authorisation of Leave of Absence has changed.  A copy of the letter sent home on 24 October is available here and a copy of the accompanying guidance 'Penalty Notices - Advice for Parents and Carers' is available to download here

Free School Meals

Some children are eligible for free school meals if their parents receive certain support payments. More information is available on the Derbyshire County Council website. If you think you may be eligible for Free School Meals, an application form is available from the School Office.
